omfg, ulcers suck. I've been silent for practically 3 whole days, because the stupid mega huge ulcer on my lip won't let me talk. Or even open my mouth, smile, laugh, yawn or sneeze without hurting like hell, for that matter. Someone save me from cette hellhole.

On the bright side, I got my paycheck today! Ai Ling -the accountant- gave me a cash cheque, which my mum helped me cash twenty minutes later at the OCBC bank. It's $306.35 all together. Wheee.

Back to the, uhm, bad side - I'll absolutely miss TP.
I'm just that sentimental. Yup.

School. Blah.

You get the drift, aye?

I can't wait till Chinese New Year.

And... braces. Squee.

I got my certificate. -squeal clap dance-
Ironic - I craved but never got anything for ZPS' Annual Prize Presentation, and when I finally do get one, it's when I've already graduated. And then, in SNG, I thought I wouldn't & didn't crave any prize, seeing as it was a high-standard school (so I thought it was) and yet I got a certificate in my first year.

Fate should do more of that.

Not that I believe in fate.

I'm craving a soft drink.

Craves.

Just returned from tennis; naturally I stink to high heavens, but you don't really need to know that.

I took the 269 bus, which Amanda and Cassandra happened to be taking, (same destination as well!) and then at the interchange we all took bus 24 s'well. Ah.

I am a furious doubter of human camaraderie. It truly fascinates me, every time someone from my class (whom I don't know that well) says 'hi' to or smiles at me. It's like, why? Why and how could someone possibly be that nice when they don't even know me? Said statement is probably why I go around with a stony blank face. Oh, I don't know.

But thanks to whoever cheered for me. When I was on the stage. Someone cheered really loudly and I wonder who that was. Hm.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO FREAKING NICE?!?!

Oh, and the 2Faith classroom is the old 1Loyalty classroom. Ew. It's all dark and shaded and... sucks! Really truly absolutely! Pfft. And the nearest toilet is just yucky. I don't care. I shall use the toilet next to the old 1Faith classroom when I go to the toilet.

TA.

Homework all done. I shalt pack my bag this fateful year end's night. Oh, damn. I love my music box and my own new tennis racket and my pink waterbottle and my new bag and my new file and my done homework and my physics car and my...

I need a wishlist. Yup yup.

Darn, 44 minutes to tennis and I haven't even dried my hair yet. Haven't tied it yet. Haven't put salt on my (three) ulcers yet, all of which are displayed prominently on my lower lip, one of which is swollen like hell. Fcuk.

Tomorrow is prize-giving day.

I kinda miss TP Dental Surgeons. XP

There's

Dr. Tony Thong
Dr. Steven Ong
Dr. Hwang
Dr. Lee
Dr. Tng (Sheng Yang's dad and Audrey's uncle)
Mei Ling (of course! who could forget?)
Vivien
Frances (hugs)
A few of the nurses whose names I never got to know...

The dental office was like HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111 (enter endless babble)

No, no, not mental breakdownness. Just ignore me.

Now the hairdryer...

those who make me laugh.

Last day of work today; we've finally completed everything! I'm collecting my paycheck tomorrow. XD
I'll miss the lovely lovely dental clinic, but I'll almost definitely see it again. To get my braces.

I don't actually know if I'll be getting braces or not, but the dentist recommends it, so I'm telling my mum. (:

oh oh oh and I've managed to sell all my funfair tickets - in less than a week. Ha! Sold 1 to myself, 3 to my family members, and the other 6 were sold to people at my workplace. Three of them receptionists/other, three of them dentists. I just love having connections.

Deviant Ways. The story was just so fab-ly amazingly superbly wunnerful until the freakain lousy ending. Who the heck cares about the romance between Jack and Taylor?! Let us read about Gabriel LaRouche already! The Sandman! That's the whole point! Not Jack and Taylor, the annoyingly annoying couple! Damn you, Chris Mooney. You've got all that writing talent and you waste it on a stupid ending.

Anyway, I had this creepy encounter with a cabbie today. He was totally silent throughout the ride, except to ask for directions, and his eyes were Jap-small and very, very shifty. He turned his head once or twice, then I got fed up so I looked in the front mirror and saw that he was throwing very very shifty glances at me out of the corner of his eye. It was like something you see in a thriller movie. Surprisingly, though, he was rather polite at the end of the ride.

I've gotten The Good Earth. If everything goes my way, I should have it finished by tonight/tomorrow morning. And tomorrow I have two things to do.

Lit. (based of TGE)
And I have to calculate the acceleration and velocity of the freakain physics car.

Two things. Damn, I feel so stressed.

And then I've got to hunt all over the place for my homework, which is strewn all over the house, after which I must pack all my schoolbooks.

I'll try to do it by tomorrow.

And on the 30th of December, I've got to receive a prize in front of the whole school, dressed in my now too tight pinafore. I hate to say this, but I wore my uniform to school today and I must've gained a lot of weight because I felt uncomfortable in my loosest pinafore. Damn Mithras to the hells of hell.

Now I'm depressed because I've downed the last of my precious Peppermint Green tea. Darn freaking heck.

I've got a few story ideas, anyway. One's about an incestual couple, and the other... the other I've forgotten. But I like the thing about the incestual couple. One more thing to shock the nation of literature.

You notice that homosexuals are allowed to marry, but siblings/cousins/etc. aren't? Isn't that just freakain sad?

Monday, December 26, 2005

Sometimes I feel like squishing squishing squishing Satanley Youwontnoe with high high high heels. I deliberately misspelled his name. Dense, annoying males like him do not deserve to have their names spelt correctly. Also, he uses n00bspeak. n00b!

Robyn lent me Deviant Ways. It's pretty nice so far. Mr. Mooney is intelligent like intelligent people should be.

On the other hand, I'm proud of myself. I can officially do the basic glide with a skateboard. For once. XD

Does anyone know how to calculate acceleration?

Stupid physics.

Karyn hates it too.

I'm taking Bio and Chem when I go to sec3. Fuck physics!

I've got lit left now.

I hope they don't grade the Chem homework.

I can't wait for CNY.

Oh, the sucker. :-/

Use n00bspeak and die, darling.

You know, some people actually think n00bspeak is hip. Like 'mornths', 'noe', 'wat'. Wackos! They are truly dense. Not to imply anything, but lots of n00bspeakers I know are also really immature.

I guess not everyone's a literary perfectionist like me.

But that doesn't deny me of the right to dislike n00bspeak! And n00bspeakers!

DIE suckers DIE.

It's pathetic. I actually have to tell people it's my birthday before they congratulate me on my coming into this world. But nevermind. I celebrated, sort of, at my Grandma's house. Fun, fun, fun! My parents wanted to leave early but for once I stuck to my guts and stayed on. They left without me but heck, who cares. :D My dad picked me up later at about 8.

It was a My Birthday cum Christmas celebration.

The cake was horrible. That, Cheryl, is what you call a rich and too creamy cake. The log cake tasted better. (: Even if most people hated the log cake... Eyeh.

I don't care if it's after midnight. Technically it's still my birthday because I was born on 12.24pm yesterday, and thus my birthday only ends today at 12.24pm. So there! XP

My presents are pretty nice. Thanks to Paula and Robyn for the notebooks! I never need to get new ones ever again. My grandma got me some real nice stuff that I can't be bothered to explain, and Uncle Joseph got me a Sudoku puzzle... finally I get to try the famous thing.

Aunt Adeline gave me a stitched pouch, uhh, shiny hairclips, and a pretty nice tshirt. Merry Christmas!

Aunt Janet got me a hairbrush (seriously, I've been wanting one of my own for ages), a polo shirt and a too small tank top, but it's okay. (:

What else... Mrs. Chua got me a Merry Christmas Cup and that bouncy thing... what'd you call it? Bouncy. Ha.

Umm... can't remember anything else, but...

I got carried away, didn't I? Oh, well.

XP

We had a pillow fight at my grandma's house.

James was a nonchalant bystander who remained passive until I whacked him hard several times. Something like that. Gordon, I've discovered, has a tendency to giggle when I tickle him. =D

Joey is, um, cute? When she sneezes it's pretty funny, but you'll have to see it for yourself.

Merry Christmas!

Wednesday, December 21, 2005

I'm going all anti-christ. I find myself rolling my eyes whenever anything church/religion related is mentioned.

Yup so anyway. I could die tomorrow, on the way to Takashimaya with my mum. Maybe I'll be paralysed from the neck down. Maybe I'll turn blind. Maybe I'll escape unscathed. Maybe my mum will die. Maybe we'll both die. And then we'll discover that there isn't a definite hell or heaven, just a place where souls go to when they die in real life. My dad could die right now, in the Philippines, and no one would make me my wooden wheels and no one could help me with my Maths homework. Maybe tomorrow my sister will be kidnapped and will only be returned in exchange for one mil.

I could die on my birthday?

On Christmas?

All the maybes. Stupid people will brush it off and scoff, "Won't happen lah."

How do we know for sure that it won't happen? We don't have any control of whether it'll happen or not. The most careful person could get hit by a car. The unpredictability of human nature is what makes the "won't happen lah" invalid. Even the best falter. Even the worst shape up. If everyone was constantly, never falteringly careful or careless, we'd know for sure whether he'd get hit by a car or not.

It's not paranoia when these things can really happen. It's hard not to think these thoughts when I'm living in a painfully real and self-conscious world, a.k.a reality. Life is a beast we play with.

But anyway, today was pretty funny. There was the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Hitler, Hail, Japanese flag...

Cheryl said 'Hail' to Dr. Steven Ong as a form of greeting, sending me into a fit of laughter. Surprisingly he 'hailed' her back. Usually he doesn't talk much to us, but he's a pretty nice guy, I s'pose. And then she continued with, "Greetings, earthling," and he replied, "Greetings."

hah. (:

Cheryl was like, 'hail!" As in, hail, the thing that falls from the sky. So saying 'Hail Ceasar' is actually treason. Imagine, the moment you say 'Hail Ceasar', a whole pile of hail comes tumbling down from the big above and crushes your king to bits. Die, Ceasar!

On of the nurses there (technically, she's my colleague, but I feel weird calling her that) suddenly asked Cheryl if she played any sports. Cheryl thus proceeded to list all the sports she played. And the nurse was like, "Oh, no wonder your front there so prominent."

Like, wtf? What does that have to do with sports? lmfao.

Taka is nice to roam.

Eyeh. Piano today sucked, but nevermind. I feel quite guilty, though, seeing as I played so badly today when teacher got me my christmas/birthday gift... ugh. Genes.

Hm... the son of one of the dentists joined us to do the filing/copying. He's 16 this year and he's a funny guy. But that's not the point. He claims that once we learn about genes in Science, we'll discover that we can blame just about anything on our parents. lmfao.

I'm getting lots of my chem answers from Karyn, Robyn's sister. (:

Now I just need someone to copy my Chinese Lit from.

Any offers?

Will pay RM10.

Or, on second thoughts, you could give the answers to me on my birthday. As a birthday present. This Saturday.

A girl likes to be remembered.

On second thoughts, I don't know.

Meh.

Happy Birthday, Santa!
Finalment! Robyn took a quiz! -hugs-
Apparently we're exact opposites. Hmm...

Robot
You are 71% Rational, 14% Extroverted, 28% Brutal, and 42% Arrogant.
You are the Robot! You are characterized by your rationality. In fact, this is really ALL you are characterized by. Like a cold, heartless machine, you are so logical and unemotional that you scarcely seem human. For instance, you are very humble and don't bother thinking of your own interests, you are very gentle and lack emotion, and you are also very introverted and introspective. You may have noticed that these traits are just as applicable to your laptop as they are to a human being. In short, your personality defect is that you don't really HAVE a personality. You are one of those annoying, super-logical people that never gets upset or flustered. Unless, of course, you short circuit.

To put it less negatively:

1. You are more RATIONAL than intuitive.

2. You are more INTROVERTED than extroverted.

3. You are more GENTLE than brutal.

4. You are more HUMBLE than arrogant.

Compatibility:

Your exact opposite is the Class Clown.

Other personalities you would probably get along with are the Hand-Raiser, the Emo Kid, and the Haughty Intellectual.

*

*

If you scored near fifty percent for a certain trait (42%-58%), you could very well go either way. For example, someone with 42% Extroversion is slightly leaning towards being an introvert, but is close enough to being an extrovert to be classified that way as well. Below is a list of the other personality types so that you can determine which other possible categories you may fill if you scored near fifty percent for certain traits.

The other personality types:

The Emo Kid: Intuitive, Introverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Starving Artist: Intuitive, Introverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Bitch-Slap: Intuitive, Introverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Brute: Intuitive, Introverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

The Hippie: Intuitive, Extroverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Televangelist: Intuitive, Extroverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Schoolyard Bully: Intuitive, Extroverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Class Clown: Intuitive, Extroverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

The Robot: Rational, Introverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Haughty Intellectual: Rational, Introverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Spiteful Loner: Rational, Introverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Sociopath: Rational, Introverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

The Hand-Raiser: Rational, Extroverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Braggart: Rational, Extroverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Capitalist Pig: Rational, Extroverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Smartass: Rational, Extroverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

free online datingfree online dating
You scored higher than 62% on Rationality

You scored higher than 10% on Extroversion

Woohoo. Jobs are fun. I'll miss mine.

Homework left:
Maths
A few Chinese questions
A few Chinese Lit questions
Lit
A few questions of chem and bio.

Anything else? Hopefully not. I don't really see why I need to do the Maths homework when the answers are going to be released next week anyway. Oh, and I haven't even bought The Good Earth yet. Gotta buy it next week, and then rush out the answers. Mon dieu.

I've gotten the Music: An Appreciation book. A load off my mind.

Kenneth, my tennis camp-mate, jammed me into a conversation with one of his other crazy friends. Not only is she highly whacked, she is also rather unintelligent. When I politely told her to stop using chatspeak, she agreed and started speaking in geek speak. Example: Then I shall proceed to converse with you, my fellow friend, in the common language of our ever revolutionising society.

Of course, she didn't say the exact thing, but she did say 'ever revolutionising society'. lmfao, like, lmfao. That's just dumb.

Now I'll go off to practise piano. And start on my Maths homework before that. I plan to complete it tonight.

Ta to those who haven't even started. Bonne chance -- tu as en besoin.

Ugly Singaporean mode:

HAS MALAYSIA NEVER HEARD OF CLEAN TOILETS?
OR PROPER WORKING FLUSHES?
OR RESTAURANTS THAT ARE NOT BUZZING WITH FLIES?

-cough-

Apart from the lack of hygiene (I've learnt to appreciate Singapore. and accept the fact that not all households/public areas have nice clean shitting cubicles.) Malaysia was nice. The hotel! C'est la vie!

Shared a room with my cousin Clarissa. I'm nearly the same height as her now. :)

I still need to get the stupid Music: An Appreciation book.

I solemnly swear to complete my homework by this Friday.

Actually, right now I'd rather be back in Malaysia. Home's boring like boring.

C'est la hell.

Post 369.

This is going to be embarrassingly corny, cheesy, maybe sob-inducing, but I have to do this before I lose the feel of it. Eheh.

-insert the year 2005 is ending blah stuff here-

Everyone knows about my unexpected entry into St. Nicks. I have no one to thank for that, except perhaps the psle examination setters, for setting such an easy Maths paper... I would've ended up somewhere like Northland, if not.
And I have my own enlightenment to thank for the, uh, sudden blossoming of my writing skills. If not, right now I'd still be writing really, really basic amateur stuff. Don't know how it happened either...

Paula: Um, did I do anything to offend you? Put simply, I'm sorry for not really being there when you were at your worst. Apologies for overworking you during the jog. ^^;

Amanda: For not standing on your side when you were trying to convince Shi Hao to sign in your autograph book. For all the drinks and food I drained your house of. For dissing you when I first met you, before realizing you were a pretty nice person. For snide remarks. Sorry!

Robyn: Apologies... for misunderstanding you. For not being by your side. For not being a good friend. For poor Mr. Bean's teddy. For supporting Zabini over Malfoy. (:

To SPAR: Desolee, I've been rather distant lately.

To Liu Yi: I've been rather distant with you before school closed, yeah? Sorry.

As for the mini blog scandal: I don't know exactly how many people I offended, but I'll list those I know;
Michelle Tang
Yi Ying
Natalie
1U Sarah Chay
1H Isabelle

Hmm... can't remember any more. Honestly, I cringe at how close-minded I was back then. Preferences... Personally I think I'm much more liberal and open minded now, but that's not important. So... sorry to all.

As for the one who knows who she is: I don't bear grudges over petty matters, so don't worry. I mean, if you are worrying. ha, I sound so extra.

'tis right, though. What do I care about what people wear? I seem to have lots of free time.

One person wished me good luck for my piano exam, and I can't remember who, but thanks lots to that person!

Thanks to Mrs Sushilla for all the praise she heaped upon me, no matter how undeserving I was of them. And, yes, even Mrs Seet (and Su Xian as well) for helping to drill a certain Maths formula into me. I've forgotten it now but I'll revise my Maths notes before school reopens.

Oh, and thanks to Cheryl for recommending the nice nice nice job at the dental clinic.

Cheers.
Yup, work is fun. No, wait, not really. But it's not boring either.

It's just copying out stuff. Easy. Painful, but easy. And the people there are so nice! The office is posh like posh. It still smells new. Two stories of glam, glam, glam.

The dentists are nice too. Only it was a bit freakish when they were looking at pictures of decayed teeth on the net. I don't know if that's just sadistic or not.

Everyone there is so smart. I feel stupid.

There's this Caucasian doctor Steven Ong. Funny. Maybe his dad's Asian or something.

Hmm... it's about $35 dollars a day if we work fulltime.

Tennis just now. Not s'good as last week, but good... enough? I'm getting my first racket tomorrow. Tennis sticks, omfg.

Jacque's retarded ecard music is playing in the back. Ha. Thanks, jacque.

I was banned from the computer. My mum's letting me go on for a while now. And tomorrow I'm being car-ed off to Malacca. Boring, yarr. (as in, pirate yarr, not Singlish yarr)

=

That means I'll have to miss work tomorrow! Sadness of sadnesses, but blah.

You know, being banned from the computer ain't such a bad thing. And my mum is sneaky. She disconnected the computer on the second floor, the one I use all the time. She doesn't know I know. I could connect it back, but she'd only find out... bleh.

Dammit, I'm depressed. No, not the computer thing. Various matters better suited for the crevices of my sombre, sombre mind.

That's French.

Just in case you didn't know already.

Oh, who am I talking to?

No one ever reads my blog. Eh, not many people.

But that's not too bad. (:

Monday, hasten to throw thyself upon my humble doorstep!

Got a haircut. They put something funny in my hair -apparently to de-frizz it or something - and it smells like apple, with something else...

Heck, my hair feels considerably less thinner than before. What did they do to it? -stricken-

And tomorrow I'm headed for my new, ah, job. My parents actually encouraged it.

Takashimaya Tower B
26th floor
TP Dental Surgeons
10 am - 6pm

With my AF classmate, Cheryl. Yup, we have formed a death alliance to polish and sharpen the cute dentist thingies to perfection, likening them to Japanese Weapons of Mass Torture (JWMT). Poke.

People have cried.

5 dollars an hour - $40 a day. Dammit, I'm rich.

We're supposed to send letters to the poor tortured toothless people of Singapore. And we can multitask as well.

Wonder how many customers they have.

Saturday, December 10, 2005

They say keeping a diary helps improve your English. Blogging totally defies that.

ZPS6A chalet. Everyone's pretty much same as before, except for... *drumroll* POOK WEN KAI.

Ah, sweet memories. *wipes away tears* It seems just yesterday he was asking me, "what is air-bor-nee?" It was quite funny. To me. I cracked up. He meant 'airborne', of course. His English probably isn't kickass now, but I'm pretty sure he pronounces 'airborne' correctly. Now.

He is so so so so so so so so so much slimmer. Last year he was this pudgy chocolate cookie guy who was well known for his atrocious English. Cute, as in, literally cute. Like pinch-your-cheeks kinda cute. And now he's almost as slim as -looks shocked- MUSHROOM.

Ohflabbergastercoughsplutteryetchretchblah!

Robyn, Paula, Amanda and Saranya will know exactly how slim he is, then.

Also, Lena spent practically the whole stay cuddling with her boyfriend, The Fk. haha. He's okay, I guess. And somehow he knows Eadelin (sp?) Dizon, 2H05. He said he found me familiar. Because of Eadelin. How that's possible, I don't know. As far as I'm concerned, I'm in none of her social circles. I'm not even in Track!

Jacque was as noisy as ever. (: (was flirting with Wen Kai! -shifty eyes-)
Dong Hui was really chatty, as usual, in his high pitched voice.
Adeline was quieter than usual.
Lena was lovestruck.
Elaine was hostess.
Stephanie was engrossed. Memoirs of a Geisha.
Wen Kai was different.
Zhi Xuan was Game-Boyed. Like Jacque. And I see he's still reading soccer news from The New Paper.
Yu Liang (god, I almost called him Teo Liang. lmfao.) was...normal.

Hm. Wonder if I left anyone out.

Oh yeah, me. The usual, I guess. I managed to finish two story books. Wahaha.

stace
Post 364.

I've set a writing goal:

Write a short story based on angst. Pull it off well.
Because... well, I'm sick of seeing all those teenage angst tripe.

Silent tears
well up in brilliant eyes and
do not fall.
Baby your all gone, but I
have my pride.

:domo: Ugh. That's badly handled angst. Stuff about, omg! She's cryin!!11 coz her b/f laft her!!!111 omg!! she's sho sad larh!

And that's why I'm taking it upon myself to write an angst fic that isn't... see above. May not be good on the first try; may even end up like *gasp* the above, but yeah. Whoopdedoo!

Freaky Friday is nice. The part where Chad Michael Murray belted out that horrible rendition of Baby One More Time was hilarious, not to mention superbly embarrassing. Sure he wasn't drunk?

Oh, and he looks better with that hairstyle. I'm prejudiced against him, but when I saw him in the movie I didn't recognize him and thought he actually looked nice, and then after that I saw the credits and... oh god, he was actually CMM?

Funny. Weirdness. Blah! =

I'm feeling cranky. 2.12am. I fell asleep at about 4-5pm just now and woke up at 8. Deprived of precious computer time. Meh.

Thursday, December 08, 2005

I went to Si-Ning's house just now. I like her house. Esp. the view. XD
I like her dog too. Golden retriever. Truffle. Adorable.
And I actually helped to make the salad. Wait, nah, not really.

Clarice taught me how to slice grapes into half. And how to de-seed guavas. Damn, they're hard.

Thus, I officially have experience in the kitchen.

I never want to de-seed guavas again.

After that, tennis...

It was bad at first. I kept missing the shots, hitting them too high up and out... I improved though. It's actually quite simple... when your arm isn't tired and aching. I never knew tennis could be that tiring. Running across the court continuously makes one darn exhausted. On the bright side, my forehand's improving.

So far, only a few people I know play tennis:

Dad
Coach
Jun Ling
Catherine
Kenneth
Joel
Louis
and I think Daryl plays tennis s'well.

God, I'm pathetic.

Maybe not.

Nowadays it's easier for me to down a can of coke in a few minutes. More empty stomach space, I s'pose. XP

I can't wait till christmas.

Wednesday, December 07, 2005

There's a very easy way of staying away from the computer. Fall asleep.

Tomorrow I'm going to Si-Ning's house to make a salad.

I think I'm going there to pass the grapes. And then what? 14 people making one salad? Ahaha. I bet there'll be slackers lounging round there, like me.

And after that, tennis. I'll miss the other four people. I'll be attending lessons with Catherine, but not with Jun Ling, Kenneth, Joel and Louis. God, I miss them. Yeah, I'm a schmaltz. >.<

Ever read Uncle Vampire by Cynthia D. Grant? It's not a kiddish book. It's not about vampires. It's about a mentally unstable girl, only of course, it's from her POV so naturally she doesn't think she's unstable in that way. She made up a sister, pretended her uncle was a vampire to hide the fact that he was raping her. Ah, creativity.

Not recommended for people who can't read to save their lives. They'll be confused through and through.

cough

This week's 8Days is crap, cept for the Star Awards part. I stopped reading 8Days for almost a year, then picked it up again last week.

Old habits die hard.

I have a sudden craving to listen to Alanis Morissette's (sp?) Crazy.

Oh god, I'm on a caffeine high.

From now on, talk to my twin. Her name is Ycatsevol and she hates being called Stacy. I will be away for the whole of December, so talk to her instead. Remember, Ycatsevol.

stacy;
1.14pm. After I blog this, will challenge myself to see if I can stay off the computer until 6pm. Yet, knowing, how lenient I am with myself, it'll probably be a fluke anyway. We'll see.

You know, I really don't understand what sick kick people get out of writing and reading:

heyy! todae @ 7am ii went 4 trng lar...... v stressful lorh! haha but ii THRAHSED ____ at da game shho itz okae. :D
den went home, bathed n changed lor......... went 2 j8 wif mii frenz after dat. :D we watched harry poter..... v nice!!!!!!!

That was actually hard for me to type.

To think, exactly one year or so ago, I was one of these.

-screams-

Sick. Sick sick sick! People who type lyyk dis should be put down!

A rather close minded view, I've realized. ^^;

But I'm entitled to my own preferences. I guess.

Wait, wtf? I am entitled to my own preferences. No guessing needed. It's definite! Just as long as I don't force them on others... oh, jesus.

I'm dressed in full female ah beng gear. So classy.

^ I posted the same thing in another journal of mine. hahax lorx!!!

Stoopid.

I love Zhou Daqiu. You know, now that he's ball less and all.

I want crayons for my birthday.

Woe me! See banner above.

On a sidenote, I really need to brush up on my poetry-writing skills. haha. Browsing through the poems of one of the Writer's Forum regulars just gave me a whole new inferiority complex. XP

And, you know what, ew. Someone uses chatspeak. You know, the "u noe wat??!!!" kind. Okay, it was expected, seeing as practically half the teenage population in Spore uses -shudder- chatspeak, but hey - I can hope, can't I?

on a sidenote

Happy
Birthday

Robyn!
:D

Hope you -ahem- liked the keychain. Send my regards to teddy.

GSA

Please participate and encourage others to do so in the Day of Silence out of respect for Gays. It will be on December 19th. For more details, please read this post by Noun in the GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) Group on allpoetry (http://allpoetry.com/poet/group/GSA):

"Ok, so I've spoken some on these boards about what's going on with the GSA at my school. Let me recap some.

I live in Port Charlotte, Florida. My school has started the first-ever GSA in this county. A few articles made front page of our papers, and one of them went on the wire, into newspapers nation-wide.

In Kansas, there is a church called Westborough Baptist Church. They are known for their extremely homophobic and intolerant actions, such as: Protesting at the funerals of our brave soldiers who died in Iraq- they wave around signs saying "Your son died for a fag-loving nation." They picket abortion clinics, they torment.

The church has about 200 members, almost 90 of whom are all related to each other. Again, this is in small town Kansas. Imagine THAT gene pool.

Well, WBC saw the article about our GSA. On December 19th, they will be protesting in front of our school and district administration office, which is nearby. Our GSA and numerous other students at school will be treating this day as a Day of Silence, and on behalf of the entire PCHSGSA, I would request that those of you who are capable organise a Day of Silence on Dec. 19 as well.

The expressed purpose of this Day of Silence would be something like "Turning our backs on intolerance and homophobia." A Day of Silence and similar activities NEED to be cleared with your administration, so that all teachers can be informed and no students get in trouble.

The GSA at my school regards the participation of other schools in the Day of Silence as EXTREMELY important...please make it work if you can, guys!"

~by Noun (allpoetry.com member)
Please help us by encouraging your friends, family, and your school to participate on this day. Turn your backs on intolerance and homophobia!

The ultimate cliche of all Romance Stories.

Guy's profile
Josh Andrews (or some other hott name)
16-18 years old.
Dark brown/black OR Blond hair that is either shaggy or extremely sexy.
Tall. Must be tall. At least 6'
and Handsome, of course.
Personality traits: arrogant, teasing, cocky, witty, intelligent, loves to smirk, extremely popular, jock, the-guy-whom-everyone loves.
OR he can be [arrogant-loves to smirk], known in school for being a hottie, but he despises the popularity crowd because he thinks blonds are ditzs and jocks are arrogant. (rather uncalled for, ain't that, seeing as he himself is a tad arrogant?)

Girl's Profile
Abigail O'Connor
16-18 years old. Must, MUST be younger than the guy.
Hair colours and style range, but for some weird reason the main female character never has an afro. XP
Not necessarily tall.
But pretty.
Personality traits:
IMPORTANT IN A CLICHED STORY: She's the only girl in school who doesn't like said male character!!!!11
She is intelligent, witty, uses swear words a lot (she's never a goody-two-shoes, weird, eh?), blushes when guy smirks or teases her...
Oh, and she is practically unknown at school.
The Most Popular Girl At School suddenly notices and despises her when she and Josh start going out.

-

Honestly, we have too many of these type of stories on www.fictionpress.com
And it doesn't help that on www.fanfiction.net, so many characters are OOC.

JeeZus. cliche, cliche, cliche!

stuff

Because I don't have a quiz to take... well, because Robyn doesn't have any new quizzes on her blog... -I nick all her quizzes. XP - I'm not gonna sit on my ass and wait. I'm doing... *drumroll*

50 facts you didn't (or do) know about me!

Yeah, it's getting old, but shut up and read.

2. If I get a camera in future, it must be sleek and orange. No buts.

3. I don't want a new handphone.

4. Fille De La Monde is situated at http://www.livejournal.com/users/filledelamonde/

5. I plan to take up Italian or Latin after I'm fluent in French. Whenever that will happen.

6. I now remember basically zilch about Chinese, Chem, Bio, Physics, Chem, Bio, Physics, Chinese. Yeah, I'm clever.

7. I am very paranoid.

8. I am very fickle - weirdly, as my latest quiz on myself reveals, most people think that I am not fickle. How the hell did they get that?

9. Sometimes I'm tempted to go into full bimbo mode, roll my eyes and say 'whatever' but then I remind myself that it is cliche and embarrassing and thus I shalt not do it.

10. I am forever asking new people I meet if they know anyone I know from their school.

11. Um, I want a diablo tennis racket.

12. Ironically, the diablo tennis racket that best suits me ALSO happens to be orange and black. God, d'you know how many orange and black stuff I have? O+B bike, slippers, sandals, hockey stick, shoe bag, and now an O+B tennis racket! Seriously, I didn't decide all of that. I just realized one day that lots of my stuff was orange and black. Um, ha.

15. I love watching Disney channel and Nicklodeon (sp?). XD

19. I rarely flatter others if I can help it. Wait, is that true?

20. I'm not a trusting person, au contraire to what quizzes I have taken claim. My guard is always up. And thus I'm getting better at keeping secrets. How is that related to the former? I don't know.

21. I spelt 'eclectic' wrong in one of the quizzes of myself I put up. ^^;

22. I hate spelling things wrongly!

23. I am very, very self-conscious and thus I am very, very insecure. It's a curse, I swear. But then I cringe when I try to imagine myself acting all ditzy and stuff and not realizing it

24. Number 24. Cheating. Ha!

25. I know more people from ACS (whether Barker, Independant, Junior, or Primary) than any other school -except SNG and ZPS.

27. I don't like ACSB. I guess it's just plain prejudice.

28. I take hours to complete one page of theory homework.

29. I hate what I'm not good at, and vice versa.

30. I've gotten my new passport and, I assure you, I look absolutely horrible in it. I'm gonna get a new one when I turn 20.

31. Star Awards is showing now and I'm actually typing this when I should be downstairs checking for fashion glitches. Ugh.

32. I hate sounding like a bimbo.

37. I hope I'm register number 27 next year...?

38. Are there 40 or 41 people in 2F next year?

39. Oh, GOD, I'm actually not watching Star Awards. Type faster!

40. Forty! Omg, omg, omg!

41. Oh, jesus. I sound like a bimbo.

42. I know, I know, I'm cheating...

43. I hate bad breath.

44. And bad fashion sense. (hypocrite-ness here!)

45. I'm fine with farts, actually, as opposed to what most people seem to think.

46. Yeah, I'm good.

47. I'm arrogant and I know it. Inside my head. I never voice out my arrogant thoughts. Well, rarely!

48. I'm not reading anything at the moment, amazingly.

49. You can raed tihs, rgiht? hhaa.

50. Fifty! Bye bye! Star awards, here I come!
I solemnly swear that after this, I shall set to doing my piano theory, and one chinese comprehension. Oh, and I've completed the chem section A. I'm not a genius. I randomly circled stuff, like I said in my last post.

It's not like they're gonna grade it or something.

Tennis: Thursday, 4-6pm.

Lovely! Absolutely lovely!

That's not sarcasm.

Because I wouldn't mind attending tennis training. :D

Hockey's a different matter. I'm starting to like tennis more, and I'm feeling a bit guilty but hey, I still like hockey. Just that hockey's a lot more strenuous than tennis. During tennis trng we still have physical exercise, but the tennis itself isn't as strenuous as the game hockey.

I wonder if you understand.

Maybe?

huh.

Theory. Eyeh.

I dontch like! (i.e. mrs s---)

Let's try n00b speak.

Honestly, are they going to grade our holiday homework? I seriously doubt it. And thus I can't care less - I'm filling in all my chem answers randomly! Grr. =
'Do good deeds and never expect anything in return.'

Mother Theresa. This concept is pretty admirable when you apply it to what nuns and volunteers do, but somehow I was reminded of Dawan's (big bowl. ha.) mother.

Submissive wives.

The wife's fault, society's fault, or husband's fault?

I say it's society. (and then we'd have to think of whether it's really society provoking all the chauvinistic views, but I won't go there)

In the past, everyone was brought up to believe (it's like, must believe! must! must! cannot not believe!) that women were inferior, so can we really blame men for being chauvinistic?

It's like, they've been believing one thing for decades, and suddenly you tell them, hey, surprise, surprise! Women are actually equal!

It's a tad unfair, making them switch their viewpoints instantly.

And thus I'm only prejudiced against

i) The damned fucking freaking bastard manwhore bugger fucker person(s) who said that women were inferior.

ii) Modern men, for knowing that women are equal and yet treating them otherwise.

Chauvinistic freaks!

Tennis camp has officially ended, but I'm not feeling very nostalgic. Afterall, I'm still going to continue lessons with two others and I'm keeping in touch with the other three. Now, in order of those I talked to first:

Kathryn (sp?) - She kinda reminds me of Qian Ni, ha. (: Hmm... Canberra primary, Pri5 this year, taller than me. =
I think she's in a sport cca, seeing as she's got a pair of FBT shorts, but you can never tell.

Jun Ying - CO, Yangqin. Graduating from Rosyth this year, yep. Best player in our camp besides Kenneth. (:

Joel - technically I didn't talk to him, he talked to me. But ha. Gongshan primary, and really really reminds me of my cousin Gordon. Primary 4 this year. He's cute. I mean literally, not as in cute dashing. Badminton team.

Louis - Joel's brother - Gongshan s'well. Primary 3. Two of them, put together, are like a pair of clowns. heh. They could pair up to present a Xiangsheng, crosstalk, whatever you call that. Chess club.

Kenneth - My age, and... Surprise, surprise. He plays hockey as well, and he knows my dear uncle Daryl. ACSI, course. One wouldn't have expected. Best player on the team, and the lucky bugger's in IP. I WANT- I mean, can St Nicks please beg the government to let us have the Integrated Program?

-

I kinda embarrassed myself. I referred to the tennis racket as a stick. Coach was laughing at me.

And my forehand, and my footwork, still suck. With the correct footwork I can perfectly execute the backhand, but forehand's a different matter. Thus I prefer blocking the ball instead of doing the full forehand. Laziness, ah.

Oh, and we played a real match, and it was absolutely terrifying. I really really put myself down; I was paired up with Kenneth and while he was doing perfect shots, I was missing the balls and my serfs kept hitting the net. Controversy! Disgrace! Scandal!

But yeah. (:

Post 350. Wonder when I'll reach 1000.

I might be getting my own tennis racket. A diablo! I want a dark green grip, hon. No, wait. Aren't most diablos orange and black? Meaning green won't suit orange and black? Erlack. A black grip, then, though black's boring. I don't want an orange grip but...

You're not listening to me ramble on about racket grips, are you.

If you are, get a life.

Who but me likes to hear others ramble on about racket grips?!

Yeah anyway I was thinking of skipping hockey. But there's still the chance of Mrs Tan/Mrs Chan noticing my absence and making me attend trainings with the b'div.

Is having to attend a tennis camp a good excuse?

They'll ask me why I signed up for a camp in the first place when I knew there was hockey trng to attend.

Typical.

You aren't listening to me whine, are you.

If you are, get a life.

I mean, what kind of person but me likes hearing others whine?!

(what kind of person repeats things over and over?)

Hockey. I still need to perfect that dodging thing. It looks so easy but my footwork botches everything up.

I still can't juggle, fyi.

Hockey-juggling.

Ah.

Oh, and Cheryl plays tennis too. (:

Didn't know she was the tennis type. I was thinking more along the lines of wushu/karate/taekwondo (sp?)/judo etc.

I need a good fanfic. 18 hours later.

Pon hockey! Pon hockey! Pon hockey!
My nose is horribly sunburnt. I look like Rudolph- wait, does Rudolph have a multi coloured nose? (three colours! I counted! uh) Anyway, it's red and stuff and peeling in places. heh. T'least, I don't need a nose job. (thinks of michael jackson, thinks of guiqi, snorts. yeah, i'm lame) And it's only my nose, anyway. (:

Last day of tennis camp tomorrow. Eyeh, I've got to get two phone numbers/email addresses tomorrow. Yeah, I'm a schmaltz. One contact from the brothers (though I don't think I'll ever contact them) and another one from the guy Kenneth (he's my age, and I think he's an anglo-chinese person). I'll continue taking lessons with Kathryn so I don't think her contact requires such urgency. Besides, she lives all the way in Sembawang. (the brothers live in Tampines! and I have no idea where Kenneth lives. In this entire camp I've talked to everyone but him, but yeah)

And it also happens to be hockey trng tomorrow. I want so badly to pon it but duty calls. I think I'll leave earlier. By half an hour or so? HEY, I love my tennis.

(I mean, I love hockey, but c'mon! Tomorrow's the LAST day of tennis! Last! Last! Finale! Finalement! Scree!)

Speaking of tennis, I think I'm improving. I can hit almost every ball I get, even though a lot of my tennis balls go either too high or too far (such that they're out. Out!).

And my serf (throwing up the ball and hitting it!) is pretty okay, only I apparently need to toss the ball up higher, because my ball keeps hitting the net. According to coach, though, I hit the ball hard and the balls I hit are scary. I guess I owe my 'strength' to hockey, huh.

Oh, I just realized something. Throwing up the ball. Throwing up... the ball! Throwing up the ball! Throwing up! GET IT OR NOT.

The irony. JeeZus.

Pon hockey! I wish!

I just realized how self-centered I sound. haha. Then, this is myblog, so I'm entitled to be self-centered, right?

but nevermind.

el diablo

After conveniently forgetting to blog for a day or two (throw up a hallelujah!), well, is there a second part to this sentence? Oh, I see, right. Tennis has been really fun. I'm still not really good at it, (definitely not a naturale!) but... it's fun! And I'm tanning... a bit. But it's a start. And I've got sunburn too - a horizontal smear across my nose and cheeks. My first case ever, and it hurts a bit, but I ... don't really care.

Tomorrow's the second last day of tennis camp, so, ah well. Maybe I'll continue taking lessons with coach. (:

PAULA, AMANDA, ROBYN, I DEMAND THAT YOU THREE TAKE TENNIS LESSONS AS WELL! i mean, so we can play tennis doubles. (:

I want to skip hockey trng this Friday. So I can have the whole Friday for tennis. Gah. Dammit.

I went cycling just now. 10pm. It's nice to cycle at night, when absolument no one is around and stuff.

Maybe I'll cycle to the tennis center tomorrow. (:

Monday, November 28, 2005

Ulcers hurt. A lot. Oh :D.

New blogskin? Oui? Non?

Si tu sais oui...
Tennis camp! It was really fun. I think I'm pretty good at volleys, but I can't do basic serfs (sp?) for nuts. The coach is really nice.

6 kids
3 girls - Me, Kathryn (sp?), Jun Ying
3 guys - Joel, Louis (twins!), Kenneth

Nah, Kenneth isn't the one living at Cardiff. (:

Everyone but me can serf. Isn't that sad? haha.

We did a bit of running/jogging and it wasn't that bad.

It's less strenuous than I thought, though.

But anyway. Fun! :)

05

So I really am in 2Faith! I found the class allocation list. 2Faith06. Au revoir 1Faith05. It seems just yesterday I was nervously shuffling into my new school, just yesterday I sat down in the hall on 23rd December with my new classmates, whom I then didn't know. 05 flew, didn't it?

I think I'll make early resolutions:

Diligently, uh, study. Even though I hate Chinese and all... -NOOOO! MUST THINK POSITIVE!-
Save money? Ahhh.
Improve in...
Studies (see above)
Hockey
Theory -winces-
Tennis!
Wait, physics! Must! Improve! In! Physics!
French!

By the end of 06, I must have made friends with everyone in the oval dais. (:
Must not spend my new year cash rashly.
Overall, become a slightly more confident person. Maybe I'll go with my dad the next time he goes to the Toastmaster's club.

In preparing for the study of The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck in 2006, it is essential that you know your text well.
Here’s what you have to do:
1. Read the novel The Good Earth by Pearl S Buck.
2. Below is a list of questions about your book. Answer them with thought and careful reflection.
a. Identify at least 2 issues or themes the book deals with. In a short paragraph, show how each theme is evident in the novel.
b. Did you enjoy the novel? Why or why not? Explain your reasons.
c. Were there any parts of the novel that disturbed you or made you feel uncomfortable? Why did you feel this way? Can I say that No, I was not disturbed by any parts of the novel?
d. Could you identify with any of the characters and the situations in which they found themselves? Elaborate. Why don't I just answer No?
e. Have you learned anything from the book? (Eg. about yourself, other people or life in general?) Say no! No!
The mint chocolates I bought have proved to be... not so tasty. Tennis tomorrow! I'll have to wake up damn early, but yeah. Lots of homework not done yet, uh.

My dad actually went so far as to get a new grip for his tennis racket (which is now officially mine) and get me a pair of new tennis shoes. How extravagant, but I'll just count myself lucky. (:

I eavesdropped (and I don't deny it) on my dad's conversation with the coach and there're gonna be 6 children in all attending. Jesus, I hope I'm not the oldest one there. Hope I'm not the only girl there. Hope I'm not the only one there with no tennis experience whatsoever. Hope hope hope. Yeah and I had no idea there was a tennis center within cycling distance of my house - it's at Burghley drive! Fancy that! All this while I've been cycling around the neighbourhood, occasionally going to Burghley, and I had no idea there was a tennis center there.

I'm going to cycle there later. Just for fun. Maybe I'll drag Paula along. (:

This lullaby is only a few words
A simple run of chords
Quiet here in this spare room
But you can hear it, hear it
Wherever you may go
Even if I let you down
This lullaby plays on...

Good things come in small packages, aye? Always small. Petit. Parfait. Never big.

Stupid quiz.
Jesus. The bimbo is in denial. Of being a bimbo. A very bimboesque one at that. Very very. Very! Hm. I guess that's just bimbo behaviour. I mean, which bimbo would admit to being a bimbo? Or know that she's a bimbo in the first place?

Ah... poor things. Bimbos, I mean. A common, multiplying race in this monde, so oblivious! Spitty.

Yeah so yeah. Stupid phone keeps... ringing! Ringing!

Mmphm. Sleepy.

My French classmates seem to be an intelligent lot. Dominic didn't do as well as expected but everyone knows that he's smarter than he seems so it doesn't matter. Claudia, Cheryl, and Lydia got 266, 265, 256 respectively. Joanne scored 264 three years ago. Elaine can't remember her results. I feel stupid in comparison to them. (:

Nourredine seems pretty proud of them. =)

I think.

And... he's going to Paris for the holidays! Paris! Paris! (pronounce it as the French do, Parih) Paris! Paris! Paris! Mmphm. I wanna climb the Eiffel tower tour d'eiffel step by step. The best place in the monde!

Dammit I hate... nevermind.

Amanda has a blog? Hmm...

yarr!

(as in, pirate yarr, yarr)

quizzical

I've decided to do the quiz Robyn's been doing. Sounds fun. (:

1. Paula
2. Clarissa
3. James
4. Gordon
5. Amanda
6. Me
7. Shi Hao
8. Mushroom
9. Robyn
10. Sutthersan
11. Tricia
12. Joy (Tjhi)
13. Kenneth (don't ask, Robyn, Paula, Amanda!)
14. Karyn
15. Dominic
16. Lydia
17. Claudia
18. Joanne (from French, not hockey)
19. Cheryl
20. Elaine (Tay, from French)

How did you meet 13?
Er... cough, cough. Would it be fair to say that I never met him?

What would happen if you never met 5?
I wouldn't have gone to Tavistock park a few days ago. SPAR would become SPR.

What do you honestly think of 10?
Typical younger brother. A pretty friendly guy. (:

Have you ever liked 3?
He's my cousin, whaddaya think?

If 1 died tomorrow, what is one thing that you would like to do?
I'd... I'd... I'd... be very sad. And I'd...I'd...I'd... burn a paper dog for her! :D

Would 2 and 11 make a good couple?
They are cousins. Clarissa is a devout Christian, so I don't think she believes in incest or homosexuality... Is the union of cousins incest, btw? Royalty did it all the time.

Do you think 12 is hot?
The usual 35 degrees or so, I suppose?

Would 1 and 17 make a lovely couple?
Nah.

Do you know any of 3's family members?
Well duh. Like, we're cousins?

On a scale of 1-10 how cute is 14?
I haven't seen her in months. Won't judge. (:

What would you do if 4 just professed his/her undying love for you?
Cousin!

What language does 19 speak?
English, Chinese, French, maybe some others I don't know of.

Who is 8 going out with?
Hello? How'd I know?

Would 18 and 5 make a good couple?
Nah. One's primary four and the other's in sec three. Amanda is definitely straight, anyway. -ahem-

When was the last time you talked to 6?
Technically you can't judge schizos by the way they look, but I don't seem like one, do I? Well, muahaha, yes, I talk to myself!

What is 18's favorite band?
No idea.

Does 4 have any siblings?
Two brothers.

Would you ever date 1?
No.

Would you ever date 7?
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Horrifying mental images! No! No! No!

Is 15 single?
I think so.

What is 19's last name?
Er... I... Don't... Know... Her name's Cheryl though. ;-_-

What is 3's middle name?
None.

What is 10's fantasy?
I don't know?

Would 14 and 19 make a good couple?
Nah.

What school does 16 go to?
Er... some school in... Bukit Batok?

What school does 1 go to?
Zhonghua Sec!

Where does 9 live?
I can give you the exact address if you like. Postal code not included, though.

Would you make out with 13?
-starts choking- I'd say 'maybe' if I were a tease. But I'm not sure if I'm a tease or not so I won't say anything.

Are 5 and 6 best friends?
We're friends.

Is 20 older than you?
Yep!

Is 4 the sexiest bitch prettiest girl alive?
-splutter!- Oh my gosh, is it possible to die laughing?

Is 17 your ex?
-looks surprised- Why, how did you know? NO.

Do you ever see yourself with 12 and 18?
Nah.

How is 2?
How? As in 'how are you' how? Hm. I dunno.
And I don't really feel like giving a friendsterish testimonial now, so... yep.
Our lit books are insufferably boring. What were they even thinking when they assigned us those stupid fagging things? x_x

9th December... hm. 6a04 chalet. 6a04!

I can't believe that Zhonghua's top scorer is a 266-er. I mean, it's a bit hypocritical since I didn't score that well, but hopefully the P6 2006ers will do better. Zhonghua's going to the dogs in less than ten years. Less! Than! Ten! Years!

(strangely inarticulate)

epebble's still down.

I still have to order the blasted MEP book. A thick fat tome filled with endlessly boring text. There're lots of boring things nowadays, eh?

Dammit epebble dammit!

Jeez. Fell asleep after reading part of Stories From Asia, one of our coughboringcough lit books. Woke up at about 10 something. Ate dinner. Washed the dishes. A world first! Throw up a hallelujah! No, wait. The second time. I think. Uh...

So now I'm sitting here, my back creaky, my eyes fatigued, damning the French homework I haven't done yet, damning the homework I haven't done yet (I finished Geog and Hist though!)...

Oh, yeah.

2 Chinese comprehensions
EL Lit
CL Lit (X_x reminds me of some disgusting euphemism of a part of the female anatomy)
Maths
Chem (omfg)
Bio (omf,f,g!)

Don't know if I have any others. My accomplishment of geog and history pales in comparison to the homework I haven't completed yet. -puts on dead fish face-

EPEBBLE WON'T WORK!!!!!!1111

-ahem-

Yeah. The blasted server's dooooooown. Sad sad sad sad sad. I know I'm in 2F but I want to see the thing.

WHYYYYYYY is it down?!

Er yeah. Hockey today wasn't so good. Warm up was actually better than the actual playing. I got a bad stomachache halfway and called out for a few mins. Apparently I look pale, according to Mrs Tan and Annice. Hm. Maybe people think I'm a sad little damsel who should've stuck to her books instead of messing around with big dangerous hockey sticks.

Lovely.

Oh, and I've finished the book The Village By The Sea.

It. Is. The. Most. Boring. Book. I've. Ever. Read!

The characters aren't even well-developed. The plot is so predictable. Drunkards don't stop being drunkards all of a sudden. Boring!

I can't believe we have to study that piece of shite for literature next year.
I can't believe it actually won an award.
Boring boring boring!
Ahem. Not that I mean to slander Anita Desai. Just her book. Boring!

Amanda came over just now. Hm. She...nevermind.

You really know how to focus on Personal Time

But everyone needs a break — even from things they're great at. Don't get us wrong, it's great that you know how to spend time and energy on yourself. In fact, you're better than most at finding time to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Whether it's a massage at the spa, a hike in the hills, or a quiet night with a good novel, you give yourself plenty of time to detox from stress. And you're not afraid to be a little indulgent if you need to — after all, you've earned it.

Just make sure you're not neglecting other areas of your life, too. Enjoying that time alone is all the more special when you shake things up now and then. Why not invite a few co-workers or friends over for dinner? Take some exercise classes to meet new people? You might be surprised at how much more enjoyable your you-time becomes. Now that's treating yourself right.

Riight. I mean, right. Literally. Not sarcastically. Um, yeah.

(Oh, and congrats to Yeu Jia and Cheryl who got 267 and 265 respectively for the psle05)

Thursday, November 24, 2005

The previous post was post number 333. I remember on 03.03.03, I had my Maths exam. The invigilator pointed it out and said, "Maybe you'll be lucky on this day." Ironically, I did badly for the exam.

Just thought I'd point it out.

I've finished watching War and Beauty. It's really sad, and not in the sappy KoreanDramaish way. I don't know who to feel sad for - it's absolutely bittersweet. Yee Shun, my favourite character, (apart from On Sin) escapes the revolt in the palace with Hung Mo and On Sin (who're a couple). On Sin is dying on the way, shot by an arrow, but she doesn't tell Hung Mo so she can enjoy their last moments together. Chan Song, Hung Mo's brother who realizes that he hasn't betrayed him after all, died earlier in the palace. Doctor Seun and Yuk-Ying burn together in her room, imprisoned by the scheming Empress.

Usually it's ridiculous when many people die at the end of a movie/story, but this one was pulled off nicely and convincingly. It makes you feel so sad, ha.

You should really watch all the 30 episodes.

Much more touching than what I made it out to be. (:

On Sin is the person I feel saddest for. She goes through so much, and not only does she not get to avenge her grandmother in the end, she also dies shortly after escaping.

And, I pity Madam Yue. She turns over a new leaf and everything, but she stays in the Forbidden Palace though she has a chance to escape it.

And the maids - wonder what's become of Pak-Lan.

These directors really know the way to a person's heart. =/
Je ne crois pas! The person I expected to ace the psle got a slightly above average score. It's a pretty good score, but I expected much much better, like 260+

I think that person's lying.

In my entire lifetime, I want to (definitely must!) visit:

America-
NYC (Maybe I'll move there)
California
San Francisco
Massachusetts
Connecticut; Saybrook, Wethersfield

-

Italy
France
Germany (Berlin?)
Scotland
Switzerland
(hopefully I can learn a bit of each language)

Egypt
Africa

As you can see I haven't any desire to visit any countries in Asia.
Wonder how I'll get all that money to travel. I'll just have to work and work and work, I guess. Lovely work. Lovely aeroplanes. Hopefully I'll return to Singapore (will I even return?) in one piece, terrorist-untouched, albeit a little jetlagged.

NYC!
Whee! It's 2.12am, 24th November, Thursday morning, and I've completed my History and Geography homework. Yay for me.

You know, it was exactly one year ago that I received my psle results. Exactly one year ago when I was shocked to the bone and had my dazed face photographed on the stage. I don't know whether to laugh or cringe at the thought. A few hours later, I bet some people will be just as surprised as me, some just as disappointed as others I know. Poor primary sixes.

I feel for you guys! Really!

It's really not that scary. You get used to your results sooner or later. Now I kinda think it's no big deal. So what if I was hell surprised? So what if my legs shook like jelly, literally, when I went onto the stage to take that honorable spot? So what? It all blows over, dah-lings, no sweat about it anymore. It's just a stupid 3 digits. For some more unfortunate, 2 digits. For the least unfortunate, 1 digit, but that has never happened before, I think.

November and December come and go in a blurred flurry and you can't piece week from week, day from day. It's just one entire mass of time and you're either happy or sad. Well, fuck sad. No one really cares, you know. Your mum can scream in ire, or squeal with delightedness (like Pei Ying's mum when she topped the level!) but it's just a freaking score. The psle is, in reality, one normal test that's blown up with hot air and called an aeroplane. It's just one test that determines your life for the next four years. One test! You don't have to get so hyped up over one bloody test.

Oh, jeezus, I've been rambling. Anyway. Stupid idiot thinks it's because I don't want to pay. Hell, I'll pay if I want to, I'm not dirt poor or something. You know, he's really not setting an example for his gender - thick, dense bullshit.

Entire difference in one dimension
sixth, seventh, eighth
non-existent
in my definition
they harbour such
I say naught.
The world changes!
Big-scale postulation
and what about small-scale?
No one mentioned the geographic changes
of one's heart.

Meh. Diary stuff. Don't try to bother making sense outta it because you'd have to understand the route my train of thought takes first. (: War and Beauty. Ever watched that Cantonese drama? Amazing, the script is. Yee Shun is the 'good, considerate one' at first, maybe a tad 'scheming' nevertheless, Yuk Ying the 'bad' one. Or so us audience assume. Then as the plot changes, things logically twist into place - Yee Shun becomes wholly 'bad', Yuk Ying becomes the one to be pitied and loved and people are screaming at her to realize that Doctor Suen loves her. Yee Shun also happens to like this Doctor Suen.

Things seem so set in stone, but the human mind is unpredictable, mainly because the power of the heart can take over it at whim. Or so I've deduced.

I don't really have any strong desire to watch GoF. Wonder why. My heroine Hermione Granger goes gaga over Cedric, so I've heard. Bad bad bad bad bad. Then again I think I'd like to see the entrance of the Beauxbatons pupils. Also, Beauxbatons isn't an all-girls' school - it's coed. Or however they call it in the wizarding community.

I'm starting to have a fondness for eccentric shapes.
There's this band called Sisters of the Red Death. Their songs are kinda morbid, but they're a band that knows how to create nice song titles. Like The Great Castration. lmfao, lmfao.

In lieu of Dead Brides
The Body and The Blood
The Banshee Ballet
A Joyless Euphoria
Silhouette Serenade

Nice. (:

My favourites are Shiver and The Great Castration.

I'm not harbouring any obscene thoughts.

I mean, why would I?

Yeah, so, yeah.

Spotlight is teh greatest. (:

Stupid idiot had the gall to ask me for a treat when he could've asked his brothers instead. Just because I'm sixty bucks richer doesn't mean I plan on doling out my precious cash -not to mention first ever cash award- as Christmas gifts! Guys. Are. Insensitive. He never gives up, does he? However, I do not see myself doing a Lily Evans anytime soon. Ha! Too bad for him.

I love chicken rice. With eggs. Mm. Just one of random nowaday-cravings.

Oh, and The Corrs've released a new album.

And they're thinking of converting Shakespeare to chatspeak/textmessage slang.

Such that To be or not to be? becomes 2b?Nt2b? EW. Just. Plain. EW! How could they rape the English language like that?! Huh?! Huh?! Huh?!

THIS TRAVESTY OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE MUST STOP.

What the hell are they thinking?

Jee. Zus.

Hmph.

And I've gotten my Geog textbook and CME stuff and Chinese textbooks. Unfortunately Popular doesn't have the rest of the books I want so I'll have to wake up early (gasp!) tomorrow morning for the school's book sale.

I still feel like a total outsider. I guess there really is a major personality difference when you compare 1999 and 2005.

Godammit.
Your signature city is New York
Whether you like to have lots of options at your fingertips or you like to be in a metropolitan environment that's buzzing with energy, the Big Apple is the perfect place for you. Maybe you like to mix and mingle at some of the edgiest restaurants, shops, and clubs in the world. Or maybe you like to be in the middle of it all — in the bright lights and big city.

One night could be dinner and a show on Broadway, a stroll through Central Park the next, or a trip to the Met the next. From Grand Central Station to Greenwich Village, New York's got some of the biggest and edgiest things to see and do anywhere in the world. No wonder a trendsetter like you would be right at home in the Big Apple.

You're a Mischievous Brat
Just because you haven't gotten caught, doesn't mean you're not a big brat. Sure, you love to do things like pull the fire alarm or the wool over people's eyes. But what makes you unique, and sure, a little fun, is the way you always manage to skip out on getting blamed.

Smart and sneaky, you know how to fly under the radar. And, on the rare occasion where you do get caught, you know just how to sweet-talk your way out of it. We know it sounds like you're the coolest cat around, but you know what they say — what goes around comes around. Watch out!
